Our Story
Get to know us…
My name is J.T. Holmes. My wife Amber started what eventually became 402 Etch and Vinyl. After the fourth ankle surgery and while being off work for twelve weeks, Amber needed something to do to pass the time. She found that she had a knack for custom wood burning and started making charcuterie and cutting boards out of our basement office.
At that time she would do custom orders for friends and family and eventually that grew to taking orders from friends of friends and friends of family members. We eventually decided to get into laser engraving and shirt production and low and behold 402EV was born.
We formed our LLC in 2024 and have been expanding our product line ever since. We are a small business, ran out of our home, all while managing two large dogs and a 3-year old little boy name Easton.

We have equipped ourselves with the ability to laser engrave slate, wood, glass, tile, etc.
We are always looking for new materials to laser engrave. We don’t know if we can’t do it unless we try!

Laser Cut Shapes
Laser cut shapes and ornaments are always fun to do. They make great gifts or add a certain folksy flair. We can cut and engrave wood in just about any symbol, logo, shape, or thing of meaning. We use basswood and walnut as our basic wood material, but can do other woods as well.
Want a deep mahogany, oak, or cherry engraving, we can do that! Personalize nearly anything!
